A clearer picture of your household finances
Three carefully paced courses for adults 40 and above — written in plain language, without pressure, and with respect for the years you have already lived.
Our Three Courses
Each course is self-contained and moves at a pace that allows for unhurried reading. You can begin with any one that feels most relevant to where you are now.
Writing Down What You Already Have
A welcoming starting course for seeing your household finances set down clearly on one page. We walk through income, fixed outgoings, variable costs, and reserves — without asking you to cut anything. The aim is clarity.
- One-page household summary template
- Month-by-month tracker workbook
- Printable category labels
Understanding Household Debt Without Alarm
A careful study of housing loans, credit card balances, renovation loans, and family debt. Explains how interest is calculated, how the Debt Consolidation Plan works, and what TDSR and MSR limits mean in practice — calmly and without judgement.
- Debt summary worksheet
- Minimum-payment projection template
- Non-profit support resource directory
Shaping a Household Rhythm That Can Last
For learners who have a clear picture of their finances and wish to build a quiet, sustainable rhythm into later years — covering reserves, family support, periodic large expenses, and the emotional patterns that come with middle-year finances.
- Yearly household rhythm planner
- Reserve-fund log
- Family conversation guide
What Makes Our Approach Different
These courses were built around one idea: that adults who have managed a household for years deserve to be spoken to as such.
Written for the 40+ reader
The language, pace, and examples are shaped around the real household questions that tend to surface after forty — not generic financial theory aimed at younger earners.
Practical worksheets you can keep
Every course includes printed or printable working documents — templates you can fill in once and return to, rather than forgetting alongside the course material.
Singapore-specific context
HDB loan structures, CPF interactions, Debt Consolidation Plan mechanics, and MAS-regulated lending terms are covered as they actually apply here — not adapted from overseas frameworks.
Modest weekly time commitment
Sessions are designed around 45–60 minutes of reading per week. You are not asked to complete tasks under time pressure or revisit material more than feels comfortable.
No pressure, no upselling
We do not direct participants towards financial products, investment platforms, or follow-on services. Each course stands on its own and has a clear ending point.
Space for the emotional side
The third course, and sections of the others, acknowledge that money decisions carry emotional weight — especially for couples, for those supporting parents, and for those approaching retirement.
Is there a course that sounds right for where you are now?
You are welcome to write to us or call before enrolling. There is no obligation. We are happy to help you decide which course, if any, would be a sensible next step.
Questions people often ask
If anything below does not answer what you had in mind, please feel free to write to us directly.
Do I need any prior financial knowledge to join a course?
No prior knowledge is needed. The first course, in particular, assumes only that you have a household with regular income and regular outgoings — which is true of nearly all adults. The later courses build on that, but we write each week's material so that it can be followed by a reader who has not studied finance before.
Are the courses conducted in person or online?
Course material is delivered as weekly readings you can open at your own convenience. We also offer optional in-person sessions at our Cecil Street office for participants who would prefer to work through worksheets with a facilitator present. You may enquire about availability when you register.
What if I need to pause mid-course?
Each course is designed so that weekly readings stand somewhat independently. If life intervenes, you can return to where you left off. We do not set deadlines for completion, and materials remain accessible for twelve months after your enrolment date.
Are these courses a form of financial advice?
No. These are educational courses. They explain how financial instruments and household budgeting work in a Singapore context. They do not constitute financial advice, and we do not recommend specific products, funds, or investment decisions. For personalised advice, participants should consult a licensed financial adviser.
Can my spouse or partner join the same course?
Yes. Couples who wish to work through a course together may do so. We offer a paired enrolment rate for two people sharing a household. Please mention this when you enquire.
How is payment handled?
Payment is made in Singapore dollars (SGD) upon confirmed enrolment. We accept PayNow transfers and bank transfers. A receipt is provided promptly after payment is received. We do not store payment details on our systems.
