Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Majulah Finance collects, uses, and looks after personal data provided to us by participants, prospective learners, and visitors to our website. It is written in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

Last updated: April 2025

1. Who We Are

Majulah Finance is a household financial education provider registered in Singapore. Our registered office is at 145 Cecil Street, #09-14, Singapore 069546. For the purposes of the PDPA, Majulah Finance is the organisation responsible for personal data collected through this website and through course enrolment.

If you have a question about how we handle personal data, you may contact us at [email protected] or by calling +65 8593 4271.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it to us — for instance, when you complete the contact form on our website or when you enrol in one of our courses. We do not collect personal data by passive observation unless you have given consent to analytics cookies as described in Section 7.

Contact form and course enquiries

When you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry.

Course enrolment

When you enrol in a course, we collect the information needed to set up your learner account and process payment: full name, email address, contact number, and payment confirmation details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

Website analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, we receive anonymised data about how visitors use our website — such as which pages are viewed and in what order — through services including Google Analytics. This data does not identify you personally. See Section 7 for details.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for closely related purposes that you would reasonably expect. Specifically:

  • Responding to enquiries. To reply to your message and answer questions about our courses.

  • Course delivery. To provide access to course materials, communicate about session dates, and send any course-related documents.

  • Administrative matters. To issue receipts, respond to payment queries, and maintain accurate enrolment records.

  • Service improvement. To understand, in aggregate, how learners engage with our courses, using anonymised data only.

We do not use personal data for automated profiling, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We work with a small number of trusted service providers — such as email hosting, payment processing, and course platform services — who process data on our behalf and are required to handle it in accordance with our instructions and applicable law.

Legal requirements. We may disclose personal data when required to do so by Singapore law, or in response to a valid request by a public authority.

Your explicit consent. If we ever wish to share data for a purpose not described in this policy, we will ask for your consent before doing so.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. In practice:

Enrolment and payment records are retained for seven years in line with standard accounting and tax requirements in Singapore. Course participation records are retained for three years after the end of the course, in case of queries about course completion. Contact form submissions are retained for up to twelve months from the date of the last exchange.

When personal data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, and to correct any inaccuracies. You may also withdraw consent for the use of your data at any time, though this will not affect processing carried out before your withdrawal.

To make a data access, correction, or withdrawal request, please write to us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within the timeframes required by the PDPA.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at www.pdpc.gov.sg if you believe your data has been handled improperly.

7. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function correctly and are set automatically. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them through the consent notice that appears on your first visit.

You may change your cookie preferences at any time by visiting our Cookie Policy page, which includes instructions for updating or withdrawing consent.

You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Please be aware that disabling all cookies may affect some features of the website.

8. Minors

Our courses are intended for adults aged 40 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe we have received personal data from a minor, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our practices change or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
