Why Majulah Finance
What you gain from courses shaped around your life stage
This page sets out, plainly, the particular advantages of choosing financial education that was designed with the 40+ Singapore household in mind — not adapted from something else.
← Back to HomeSix things that set our courses apart
Built for this age group
Content, examples, and pacing are shaped around the real household situation of adults between 40 and 65, not repurposed from courses aimed at younger earners.
Rooted in Singapore
HDB loans, CPF mechanics, Debt Consolidation Plan terms, and MAS-regulated interest structures are covered as they exist here — not generalised from an overseas context.
A pace you can follow
Weekly readings are designed for 45–60 minutes. You are not asked to complete modules under time pressure or attend sessions at fixed hours.
Working documents you keep
Every course includes templates and worksheets designed to stay useful after the course ends — not exercises that sit in a folder and are never revisited.
No products sold, ever
We do not receive referral payments from financial institutions. You will not be guided towards specific banks, insurance policies, or investment platforms during or after any course.
Room for the emotional side
Money decisions in middle life often carry emotional weight. Our courses acknowledge this openly, with frameworks for returning to steady ground when anxiety or comparison arises.
Expertise grounded in practice
Majulah Finance's courses were written by educators who spent years working directly with Singapore households — in bank branches, in community financial counselling sessions, and in adult learning programmes. The content does not come from academic distance; it comes from sitting across from real people and understanding what they found confusing, reassuring, or useful.
- Course writers hold backgrounds in banking, financial counselling, and adult education
- Material reviewed annually against Singapore regulatory updates
- References to MoneySense guidelines throughout all courses
A process built around the household, not the calendar
Most financial courses are designed to fit into a weekend seminar or a two-hour online session. Majulah Finance courses are designed differently — structured so that each week's reading introduces one clear idea and gives you time to see how it sits against your own household situation before the next topic arrives.
- Four to nine weeks per course, with weekly readings of 45–60 minutes
- Worksheets accompany each week so ideas can be applied immediately
- Access to materials for twelve months after enrolment
Support that is available without pressure
We are reachable by phone and email throughout your course. For participants who would prefer to work through certain worksheets with a facilitator, optional in-person sessions are available at our Cecil Street office. You decide whether to use them.
- Email and phone support during office hours
- Optional in-person sessions at 145 Cecil Street
- Paired enrolment available for couples
Straightforward pricing
Course fees are published openly. There are no subscription renewals, upsell modules, or follow-on costs. The full course — reading material, worksheets, and twelve months' access — is included in the enrolment fee listed on the solutions page.
- Course 1: SGD 189 · Course 2: SGD 419 · Course 3: SGD 789
- Paired household rate available on enquiry
- Payment via PayNow or bank transfer, with receipt provided promptly
What participants find useful, in practice
We ask for feedback at the close of each course and read it carefully. Over several years, participants most frequently note that they valued having their financial situation written down on one page for the first time, understanding exactly how credit card interest accrues, and having a calm framework for discussing reserves with a spouse.
- Clarity about the household's current financial picture
- Practical understanding of how debt instruments work
- Reduced anxiety about financial topics that had felt opaque
How we compare to the alternatives
This is not meant to be disparaging. It is simply a factual account of what makes our approach different from what is more commonly available.

Distinctive features of our approach
The household archive model
Our courses treat household finances as a personal archive — something to be labelled clearly, kept in order, and returned to without anxiety. This is not a metaphor we use decoratively; it shapes how every worksheet and template is designed.
The coupled-household option
Couples who take a course together receive a joint worksheet format designed for two, and the third course includes a family conversation guide written for use across several evenings at home — not a group exercise, but a private one.
A direct line to non-profit support
Course 2 includes a curated directory of non-profit and statutory support organisations — including Credit Counselling Singapore — with clear notes on what each offers and how to approach them. We do not regard this as a referral mechanism; we regard it as a responsibility.
No automatic renewal, no ongoing subscription
You pay once. Your access lasts twelve months. There is no recurring charge, no automatic renewal, and no pressure to re-enrol. If you wish to take a second course, you enrol separately and knowingly.
